Khalsa Secondary Academy achieves highest score in safeguarding across 110 schools
Khalsa Secondary Academy in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, part of Khalsa Academies Trust is celebrating an outstanding result from a recent safeguarding audit. The school scored a fantastic overall 95% score, the highest ever recorded across 110 school safeguarding audits.
The audit was carried out by Anchored Schools, an organisation who specialize in providing Safeguarding, Wellbeing, Attendance, Behaviour and PSHE support for 3-19 education providers. Anchored Schools have a wealth of experience in safeguarding and have very detailed audit processes and reports.
“The Khalsa Secondary Academy was first audited in March 2020 where it was judged to be safeguarding compliant and effective. It is the culture of safeguarding that has improved significantly as well as governance oversight”, said Shaminder Kaur Rayatt, Chair of Trustees
“We are delighted with this news and congratulate Mr Chris Drew, the Headteacher and Mr Jagroop Roopa, the Designated Safeguarding Lead and all staff and students. We would also like to thank Mrs Susan Jackson, the Trust Safeguarding Lead for her tremendous expertise, support and guidance”, said Nick Singh Kandola, Trust Leader and CEO.
Headteacher, Chris Drew, commented “We are very proud of this achievement and all credit goes to our hard-working staff. Working together as a team, great things have been achieved.”
