Khalsa Secondary Academy celebrates double success
Khalsa Secondary Academy in Stoke Poges is celebrating double success, with exceptional GCSE results today following its top A Level and BTEC results earlier in the week.
Chris Drew, Headteacher, commented “I am so proud of all our Year 11 students for their exceptional achievements this year, after eighteen months of major disruption for the country and all schools brought about by the pandemic. Year 11 have been rewarded for their hard work and perseverance, with a number of students achieving grades beyond expectations. Most of our students will stay on in the Sixth From with a solid foundation upon which to build.” He added “My sincere thanks goes to the whole staff team who have worked incredibly hard in truly demanding and unique circumstances for all.”
The overall progress score of +0.46 places Khalsa well ahead of most schools locally and nationally. Outstanding results from students include Inderpreet Maan (nine Grade 9s, one Grade 8), Aashna Bhui (seven Grade 9s, three Grade 8s), Navleen Ghurman (five Grade 9s, four Grade 8s) and Ekamjit Singh (three Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and two Grade 7s).
