Welcome from the Principal

We are a learning community

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website. We welcome students of all abilities and celebrate the diversity of cultures, backgrounds and talents which students, parents and staff bring to our inclusive school. ATAM Academy has an outstanding reputation, talented staff, committed governors and supportive parents.   We value working in partnership together with our young people to achieve the very best outcomes for them.  We believe that the whole school community is involved in the process of learning. Learning to be the best at whatever stage we are on life’s journey. We believe that education is more than gaining qualifications. It is about personal fulfilment in life, encouraging each other to use our talents, enjoying being excited about learning and experiencing a sense of wonder and awe.

We treat every child as an individual and they talk passionately about being part of a vibrant and exciting community, feeling safe and valued. Our children enjoy coming to school and we expect the very highest attendance. We are passionate advocates for All Through Education. Through this we can serve our community and families ensuring a first-class educational experience with continuity and progression. All through education offers many unique opportunities including shared experiences, powerful role models and in-depth knowledge. We offer a broad curriculum and know that excellence can only be achieved by constantly providing students with appropriate challenge, raising aspirations and insisting that good behaviour enables great learning.

We value our partnership with parents, working together to develop the whole child, ensuring that students enjoy school and achieve their best. Students achieve very well here because of this partnership and, by choosing ATAM, you will be invited to work with us. I hope that you will find the website informative. Please do arrange a visit to our school if you would like to see how we work.  I am confident you will recognise our commitment to ensure that every child enjoys their learning and achieves.
