The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has:
• Good standard of Education (Level 3) together with good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience of working closely with SEND.
• Good ability to use technology (computer, email, photocopier etc.)
• Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality.
• Ability to relate well with children and communicate diplomatically and tactfully with adults (e.g. parents)
• Must be motivated and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
School Staff Instructor (SSI)

The opportunity to serve as School Staff Instructor (SSI) at The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton (TKAW) has come about due to the MoD Cadet Expansion Scheme. TKAW’s CCF-RAF contingent launched in September 2019 in partnership with another local unit. In September 2020 we became an independent unit. Since then we have grown massively, with over 70 cadets and a waiting list, as well as 4 members of staff volunteering.
TKAW is seeking a suitably experienced and highly enthusiastic person with excellent administrative skills to take on the role of School Staff Instructor (SSI). This permanent full-time role will involve the equivalent of 2.5 days per week on CCF organisation and 2.5 days to undertake further roles and responsibilities within the Academy based in the Inclusion department supporting students with SEND and including leading our Duke of Edinburgh cohort. CPD will be provided to the suitable candidate.

The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton are seeking to appoint a School Counsellor to provide a high-quality counselling service to our students, responding to social, emotional or educational concerns. The role will work alongside our pastoral support teams aiding the outcome of excellent teaching and learning for all students.
Our ideal candidate will work collaboratively with relevant staff making them aware of any adversities experienced by students and to make recommendations as to how these may be managed/resolved, as appropriate. The ideal candidate will offer pupils, a comfortable, safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to voice and explore their thoughts, feelings and worries, along with complex experiences and personal concerns and difficulties.

We have an excellent opportunity for highly organised, committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our current team of Exam Invigilators.
Experience of exam invigilating is desirable, however full training will be provided. Employment will be on a casual basis, but you will need to have flexibility through the exam periods from 08.00am – 3.30pm for invigilating sessions.
The post holder will support the Lead Invigilator/Examinations Team with the day-to-day operation of examination venues.
